ABOUT ME

I am excited to be in my fifteenth year of teaching science at Casey. I believe that middle school science should be fun and exciting. I hope that through hands-on activities, inquiry-based learning, and relevant, reading, writing, and discussion, your child will develop a deep understanding of topics we will cover this year while also developing a love for learning about the world around us.

I enjoy being a teacher in part because of the interesting things that middle school students regularly help me learn. Prior to joining the staff at Casey, my professional experience included work as an environmental scientist in the Hawaiian Islands and as a park ranger for the National Park Service at Rocky Mountain National Park.
